As of late, I, silentfox, have taken it upon myself to ferret out open wifi access points belonging to businesses in the Collinsville/Owasso area. After many reports of malicious activities taking place, I for one do not want to be one of the many to have my identity stolen through the incompetence of businesses wanting an easy way to connect to their local networks.

It doesn’t take much effort to turn on even wep (as easy as wep is to break, its still better than having an open access point that any fucktard can connect to.) or WPA. So far just testing my wardrive system i have found several key access points that are open, and are a critical security risk. Im not going to name names until i have spoken to these businesses so they know it needs to be fixed. after such a time, i will post their names in blog updates, so they will get the point. It may seem like an extreme measure, and it is, but many people just will not let it sink into their heads until something bad happens.

In the posts, i will not give the actual locations of the businesses or their mac addresses, just the name of the business. You can find them on your own, but be forewarned, the businesses will already have been notified of the vulnerabilities.

Those of you with wifi access points have been warned.

I will not post banks, or other extreme high risk sites. I will notify those businesses the extreme danger they have opened by having even a security enabled wifi point in their office.
